Deadhaus Sonata has received a new gameplay showcase focused on co-op play, and the development team from Apocalypse Studios has detailed how combat will function for up to six players in online collaboration. The new video showcases a dark action atmosphere, shared abilities, and coordinated attacks against enemies in the world of Malorum.
The game comes from the workshop of Denis Dyack, the creative director known for titles like Eternal Darkness and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and brings a third-person action RPG where players take on the role of undead beings fighting against the living.
The story is set in the dark fantasy world of Malorum, ravaged by wars of the gods and corruption, where players will explore destroyed kingdoms, cursed fortresses, and ancient ruins. A special emphasis is placed on cooperative gameplay, tactical use of powers, and progression through various supernatural abilities.
One of the main mechanics of the game will be a tarot skill system, where each card represents special powers tied to the history of the world. Players will be able to build different playstyles – from fast and precise builds to tanks and battlefield controllers.
With a large number of loot items, legendary gear, and deep character customization, the developers also announce more than 15 hours of professionally synchronized narration and a story where player decisions leave lasting consequences on the world and characters.
The base Early Access version of the game will cost $19.99 and will include premium credits for cosmetic additions like cloaks, emblems, and gear variants.
Deadhaus Sonata can currently be added to your wishlist via Steam.
