More than 14 years of waiting is behind us – Red Dead Redemption is finally available for PC. Players can now jump into the legendary world of the Wild West, and this version brings the original game and the Undead Nightmare expansion, along with special PC options such as ultrawide support, Nvidia DLSS for enhanced framerate, and other graphical upgrades.
However, the price of 50 euros has sparked controversy, a figure that accompanied the game's release on PS4 and Switch in 2023, which TakeTwo's CEO Strauss Zelnick stated is "market justified." In comparison, Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition currently costs 32 euros on Steam for PC – and less than 20 dollars on Fanatical – but with a special promotion, the version for Epic Games Store can be obtained at a more affordable price.
We hope this release goes more smoothly than the one with GTA Trilogy in 2021, when the PC release had numerous technical issues.
In the meantime, the development team at Rockstar Games is working on Grand Theft Auto 6, which will first arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the PC version has not yet been officially announced. However, as with previous games like GTA 4, GTA 5, and RDR2, it likely won't be long before the PC audience gets to experience GTA 6, provided the console release arrives on time, in autumn 2025. - writes GameSpot.com
