Yogscast Games is excited to share new information about Rhell: Warped Words & Troubled Times — an upcoming semi-open world adventure set to release on March 12, 2026, on Steam. The game invites players into a mystical world filled with ancient magic and wonders, where you take on the role of the main character Rhell on a quest to restore the lost world to its former glory. While the fundamental rules are explained at the beginning, the rest of the game unfolds through exploration and discovery of the unknown.
The game is designed as an invitation to a magical world full of enigmatic encounters, and solving puzzles requires unconventional methods — curiosity is rewarded, and mysteries are revealed at unexpected moments. “Magic in Rhell is not just something the player uses,” says game creator Alice Jarratt from SlugGlove. “Every location carries traces of ancient influence, and we designed the adventure so that players discover history organically, rather than being told how to proceed.”
The game features 14 main areas that players can explore by solving a series of puzzles. Puzzles are solved by casting spells through the combination of unique “runes” — magical keywords. Whether you are exploring the environment or interacting with NPCs, the journey constantly reminds you that the mystical is present.
In addition to the main locations, the game hides significant secrets, and the decisions you make affect the outcome. Experimentation sets Rhell apart from other adventure games — players are not led down a predetermined path, but the world slowly reveals itself throughout the game.
