The long-awaited sequel to the popular survival adventure, Subnautica 2, will soon enter Early Access phase. The game from Unknown Worlds Entertainment will be available on May 14, 2026, on PC and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
The Early Access version marks the beginning of open development with community feedback, a method that also characterized the original Subnautica. The game is expected to remain in this phase for between two and three years, with regular updates and larger content additions over time.
Subnautica 2 brings a new underwater environment on an unknown alien planet, where players will explore, gather resources, craft equipment, and try to survive in a dangerous yet fascinating ecosystem. Like its predecessors, the emphasis is on exploration, crafting systems, and uncovering the mysteries of the world.
According to available information, the Early Access version will include core gameplay systems, the first parts of the story, as well as new biomes and creatures, while content will gradually expand through development.
The price of the game in Early Access will be around 30 US dollars, with the possibility of a price increase after the full version is released.
