Wargaming, developer and publisher of the leading historically accurate naval multiplayer game World of Warships, is celebrating the holiday season with activities and rewards for players on PC, console, and mobile. PC players can look forward to a new advent calendar and holiday Action Pass, an abundance of holiday-themed camouflages and ships, and the return of the Christmas tree in the game, ready to be decorated in the port of Nordlyshavn. The holiday fun continues for console and mobile players in World of Warships: Legends with the introduction of the port Santa City, Merry tokens to unlock Christmas-themed rewards, mysterious crates, and the Merry Shipmas campaign featuring two legendary-level ships that can be earned.

World of Warships welcomes a wave of celebrations with a new advent calendar and Action Pass

The holiday season is in full swing on the seas of World of Warships with the December update bursting with enjoyable activities and themed rewards. Starting December 1, players can claim a free tier IX ship from the tech tree just by logging into the game, plus two containers of Santa's Gift and two permanent Christmas-themed camouflages. Rewards continue to roll in through the new advent calendar available throughout December, as well as the Holiday Action Pass, which contains two chapters and is full of rewards like Santa's Gift containers, camouflages, and tier VII cruisers Nürnberg '44 and Lanzhou.

The port of Nordlyshavn also returns this year with an updated look and a Christmas tree eager to be decorated. Players can unlock decorations for every two battles they play, with no daily limits, and special rewards await those who place 10 decorations on their tree and collect all 24.

In addition to these holiday additions, a completely new map—Islands of Dusk—is available in random battles and selected cooperative battles for ships of tier VI and higher. The December update also brings a wide opening of the Shipyard doors and welcomes the start of construction of the French battleship tier IX Roussillon. The update launches in the first week with a truly constructive spirit, giving players one last chance to complete the construction of Liberty Harbor. Asymmetric battles and the Time Rift action continue, joined by a new season of clan battles and the return of the Steel Fleet action featuring six powerful vessels, including three brand new tier X ships: the Japanese battleship Aki, the German cruiser Bremen, and the American cruiser Hawaii.

The port Santa City introduced in World of Warships: Legends

The celebration continues for players in World of Warships: Legends with the introduction of the Santa City port. The thematic currency, Merry Tokens, will be awarded to players who complete various activities, and they can be exchanged for decorations in the port and seasonal rewards—new Ice Wraps; new captain masks (including the historical cat hero "Unfreezable Sam"); mysterious crates that can grant players rare ships and special edition ships like the new Incomparable, Aki, Marceau, and more.

The gifting season continues with the Merry Shipmas campaign thanks to the free Admiralty Support that gives players the chance to choose one of two Legendary-level stars—the American battleship Rhode Island or the Soviet cruiser Sevastopol—as the final reward of the campaign. In addition to these two legendary ships, the winter version of the pan-European destroyer Orkan and many other rewards are just waiting to be unlocked.

The December legendary update also includes Japanese hybrid battleships of levels VI-VIII - Ise, Suwo, and Dewa - which are entering Early Access and are available in Japanese hybrid battleship crates. Joining them is the legendary-level battleship Aki, which can be found in mysterious chests. These ships not only have great firepower but are capable of executing airstrikes with aircraft carrying an impressive amount of torpedoes. The update wraps up with the return of War Stories, featuring two new scenarios, including a vital mission—to assist Santa. With the ability to play through all previous Stories, players will also be able to try out a new type of HE shells that scatter into multiple sub-shells, causing significant damage.

Just in time for the holidays, World of Warships has also launched a merchandise store packed with perfect gifts for maritime history enthusiasts and franchise fans. Available products range from premium t-shirts and hoodies to mugs, mousepads, collectibles, and more.
