Gaming monitors have become faster in recent years, and LG is now preparing a model that could set a new record. The LG UltraGear 25G590B will be the first monitor in the world with a native refresh rate of 1000 Hz.
This is a 24.5-inch IPS monitor with Full HD resolution, or 1080p display. An important detail is the word "native," as some earlier models could reach 1000 Hz only by reducing the resolution. LG's monitor is expected to offer that speed without such a compromise.
Such a screen will be of particular interest to competitive players, especially those for whom every millisecond matters in shooters and esports titles. A higher refresh rate should provide a clearer display of motion and more precise tracking of action on the screen.
The LG UltraGear 25G590B is expected in the second half of 2026, while the price has not yet been revealed.
