Capcom has released a three-minute short film titled Evil Has Always Had A Name. It serves as a preparation for the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, as its story follows a mother (Maika Monroe) and daughter before, during, and after the fall of Raccoon City.
The film was shot in Mexico City, and the campaign was presented in Los Angeles and New York where static and moving posters with images of missing persons and the film's name were set up. A special QR code on them leads to the film itself. Monroe stated that the filming was interesting and managed to depict the chaos of the situation, and she also felt a sense of nostalgia as she recalled the film series with Milla Jovovich.
Resident Evil Requiem is set to release on February 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
