World of Tanks: HEAT has released a new installment of its Foundations video series called Points of Contact, focusing on maps and game modes. A new video shows in more detail how the battlefields and game modes are designed to provide dynamic and unpredictable battles.

Maps in the game are based on real locations and include different biomes and visual styles, while being designed to support multiple playstyles across all available modes.

The game features four PvP game modes, all with respawn support, further encouraging a more aggressive and experimental approach:

  • Conquest (10v10) – focus on capturing and holding multiple bases with dynamic events like bombing
  • Hardpoint (5v5) – constantly changing checkpoints require quick adaptation
  • Control (5v5) – fight for one zone with the possibility of reversal in overtime
  • Kill Confirmed (5v5) – eliminations while collecting tokens and power-ups

The development team has announced that these game modes will continue to receive improvements and new content as the game evolves.

The new video further confirms that HEAT aims for fast, tactical and replayable skirmishes, where each game can end completely differently.
