The company V-Color presented an interesting new memory package called 1+1 DDR5 Memory and RGB Filler Kit, intended primarily for gamers who build modern AMD Ryzen configurations. This package includes one real DDR5 RAM module and one "filler" module without memory, which is used exclusively for the aesthetic appearance of the computer case.
The idea is to allow users to fill two DIMM slots on the motherboard and get the look of a classic dual-channel system, even if they currently only have one real RAM module. The filler module comes with RGB lighting, so it visually fits perfectly with the real memory module and the rest of the RGB configuration.

V-Color plans to offer these packages in 16 GB (16 GB x1) and 24 GB (24 GB x1) variants as part of the Manta XSky and Manta XFinity series. The memory targets the AMD AM5 platform and supports technologies such as the AMD EXPO profile for easier overclocking.
Although this approach does not bring additional performance - because the filler module does not have real memory - the manufacturer believes that it is a practical solution for users who want to gradually upgrade RAM, while maintaining the attractive appearance of the computer.
In the future, V-Color plans to offer 2+2 configurations that will combine two real and two aesthetic RGB modules for fully filled memory slots.
