Xbox Game Studios and Undead Labs have announced that State of Decay 3 will enter the alpha testing phase this May. We heard the last news about this survival title in 2024. during the Xbox Games Showcase, and was originally announced in 2020. also at Showcase.
Registrations for alpha testing are available via the official site. During the test, players will have the opportunity to try out four-player gameplay, new base building and resource deployment mechanics, and lots of combat according to Undead Labs' Brant Fitzgerald.
"If scavenging in the midst of a zombie infestation sounds like fun to you, then grab your backpacks and a few gun magazines and visit our website to sign up for the alpha test. If we don't contact you this time, don't worry, as we'll keep your names on the list and have more opportunities to try out State of Decay 3 throughout the year." Said Fitzgerald.
State of Decay 3 is in development for PC and Xbox Series.
