In a big interview with IGN, Todd Howard revealed some key information about The Elder Scrolls VI – although concrete details are still missing.

Most importantly, the game is now in full production, with most of Bethesda's team focused on this project. Howard points out that the studio has made progress in the organization of development, which enables more stable builds and more efficient work than before.

The game is also confirmed to use Creation Engine 3, which brings improvements to the way the world is loaded, data management and game scaling on different devices – from high-end PCs to weaker and portable platforms.

Interestingly, Howard admitted that he doesn't like announcing games early, referencing the 2018 announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI, which he says he'd rather avoid today. Despite the progress, the message is clear – the game is still years away from release, and Bethesda wants to take its time to deliver a top-notch RPG.
