Publisher The Pokemon Company and development team The Pokemon Works have announced the release date for the fighting game Pokemon Champions. The game will thus appear on the Nintendo Switch on April 8, while Nintendo Switch 2 owners will receive it as a free update, when it comes to the iOS and Android versions they will come later in the year.
Pokemon Champions is described as a free-to-start game that is focused on building teams of different Pokemon with which we then fight against other players. Battles will use already well-known mechanics from previous titles, which include: types of Pokemon, skills and moves that will further enrich our strategies during battles.
Players will also have the option to purchase the Pokemon Champions + Starter Pack bundle which will bring 50 Pokemon in a storage box, the “Battle! (Trainer Battle)” song from Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee!, 30 Teammate tickets and 50 Training tickets. There will also be an option to purchase a membership and premium battle pass.
