Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works have announced a new female fighter for the upcoming title Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. It will be the young Penny Parker who will join the previously announced characters Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel and Star-Lord to form a team called The Amazing Guardians and a new map called Knowhere was also announced.
The trailer also features a mysterious figure The Promoter real name Xiren Awhin who is a member of the alien race Elder of the Universe who invites the heroes to a tournament to decide the fate of the country. Xirenu will be played by Sabrina Fest who was the voice of Katara in the video games based on the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, while Penny will be voiced by Risa Mei.
The team also added a new feature to the game that will give your selected team an automatic name that will have references to comics, so for example a combination of Wolverine, Spider-Man, Star-Lord and Magik will be named Hellbound Outlaws, while Penny, Iron Man, Dr. Doom and Danger be called Sugoi! Geniuses.
Arc System Works also announced that Peni and Knowhere will be playable in the demo version during the EVO Japan tournament, which will be held May 1-3.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is released 6. August for PC and PlayStation 5.
