The company Epic Games announced the shutdown of several modes in the game Fortnite, admitting that some of them failed to retain a large enough number of players. Rocket Racing will be removed in October 2026 with all maps. The quests for this mode will disappear already next week, and there will be no more new rewards. Earlier, already on April 16, 2026, the modes Ballistic and Festival Battle Stage are also leaving the game. Players can play them for a short time before shutting down, after which they will no longer be available. Despite shutting down these mods, Epic Games points out that it will continue to develop other parts of the game, including music mods and creator tools. New tools in UEFN will allow developers to create their own racing and FPS experiences.
