Serafini Productions has announced the release date of the psychological horror game BrokenLore: FOLLOW. As they said, she will 1. June on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
BrokenLore: FOLLOW follows Anne, a young woman haunted by a tough past, after she wakes up in her childhood home she begins to face the supernatural forms of her past memories and experiences. Accompanied by her doll, Anne is forced to struggle with self-acceptance, self-evaluation and a challenging relationship with her mother.
Through various chapters, she will visit key places from her childhood and life and relive memories that bring past suffering and mistakes, all the while being hunted by a horrible being that resembles her mother. In order to achieve the strongest possible psychological atmosphere, BrokenLore: FOLLOW was developed with the help of psychologist Emanuel Papa.
"BrokenLore: FOLLOW began as a direct echo of BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW, that is, almost like a broken or unfinished version. By moving fragments of the previous title, the name of the new one suggests the idea of subtraction and something missing, and this is precisely maintained through the new journey of the heroine Anne. In this chapter, both she and the nightmare feel changed, unfinished and as if something is missing." They said from Serafini Productions.
They also added that: "At the same time, FOLLOW becomes part of a larger play on words that are contained in the three titles of the saga (UNFOLLOW, FOLLOW and LOW). When placed next to each other these titles create a linguistic and thematic chain that is mirrored throughout the three-chapter story. In this sense, the title is not just a label, but also a deliberate clue to the story related to Anna's identity and its fragmented nature, but also for the broader structure of the BrokenLore universe."
