Publisher GameDev.ist and development studio Elos Games & Arts have announced that their new action RPG Sagas of Lumin will be coming to Early Access on PC via Steam this summer. It is a single-player adventure that combines combat on the ground with intense aerial battles on dragons.
At the heart of the gameplay is a system that allows players to switch between fighting on the ground and fighting in the air at any time. While on the ground, players use various weapons such as swords, spears and axes, as well as magic and steampunk firearms. On the other hand, in the air they can take full control of the dragon, perform precise maneuvers such as climbing, landing and sudden turns, and attack enemies with fiery breath, claws and powerful blows.
Combats include skirmishes with other dragons, attacks on enemy bases, and skirmishes with flying ships that can be disabled by targeting key parts such as sails or cannons.
In addition to the action, the game also brings a rich RPG story in which the player's decisions affect the development of the world and the final outcome of events. The authors emphasize that it is a morally complex story that avoids the classic conflict between good and evil.
Sagas of Lumin is currently planned for PC, and the Early Access version should help the development teams further refine the game with community feedback.
