The action RPG Crimson Desert is already recording impressive results, even before its official release. According to new reports, the game has already reached nearly 400,000 copies sold on Steam, with more than $20 million in pre-order revenue. This result is particularly interesting because it only applies to the PC version, while the game is simultaneously released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, which means that the total numbers could be significantly higher.
Additionally, as much as 10% of the total sales were made within just 24 hours, which clearly shows how much player interest there is despite certain controversies such as the implementation of Denuvo protection and performance concerns. If this trend continues after its release, Crimson Desert could easily become one of the biggest hits of 2026 – and a serious contender for the GOTY race.
