Ultima Chess VR is an innovative VR game that combines classic chess mechanics with fantastic visuals and dynamic battles. Instead of simply moving pieces, each capture results in an energy-charged RPG fight – from terrifying monsters to heroes armed with magic and swords.
The game will feature twelve unique themed boards with richly designed environments – ancient cities, tropical islands with pirates, floating castles, and much more – and there are also three minimalist designs available. In addition to the standard campaign, the game offers Chess960, Fog of War, Bughouse, King of the Hill, and 3-Check variants, while multiplayer with leaderboards will enable virtual competition among numerous chess players worldwide.
