It's official: Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a huge hit. Publisher Bandai Namco has released early sales figures for this fighting game, and to say it started well would be an understatement.
In the first 24 hours on the market, the game sold an incredible 3 million copies.
In comparison, the remake of Resident Evil 4 took two days to reach the same number, while Street Fighter 6 took more than half a year to sell 3 million copies. Even Bandai Namco's Tekken 8 sold 2 million copies in just under three weeks.
This level of success is not a big surprise. The Dragon Ball series has a massive fan base, and the potential of Sparking! Zero was evident even before its release, when it dominated the pre-order charts.
An additional factor in its success is that it is a fantastic game. In our review, we called it "a complete joy" and "an impressively powerful celebration of everything Dragon Ball." - writes PushSquare.com
