Kalypso Media and Kite Games have confirmed that Sudden Strike 5 will be released on April 23, 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with pre-orders already open for the Standard and Deluxe editions. The game brings back the popular WWII tactical series with a heavy emphasis on strategic planning and massive battles.
The Standard Edition costs around €49.99, while the Deluxe Edition costs €59.99, with discounts for pre-orders on consoles and a special offer for the PC version. The deluxe edition includes additional content such as exclusive PvP maps, more than 80 camouflage skins and the original soundtrack, and players who pre-order it on consoles will also get 72 hours of early access.
The action takes players to the battlefields of Europe and North Africa, where they will control more than 300 historically authentic units – from tanks like the Sherman and T-34 to aircraft like the Messerschmitt. The campaign features 25 missions with a sandbox approach, allowing for different tactical approaches such as reconnaissance, sabotage and capturing key locations.
In addition, the game introduces customizable commanders that bring special abilities and expanded camera options for a better overview of the battlefield. Multiplayer and PvP skirmishes are also part of the offer, which further extends the longevity of the game.
