Realpolitiks II was recently released on XBOX by Ultimate Games S.A., while the game was developed by Jujubee S.A.

Right away, we highlight a wonderful introduction to the game itself, in which you have the opportunity to learn something about politics and the history of managing society. You can watch the entire introduction in the video below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLSM0a4a7ik.

It is a strategy game in which you lead a modern nation, managing its economy, diplomacy, espionage and military while facing global threats such as terrorism, pandemics and famine. In this game, the goal is to build your country, shape its political system, manage your army in land, sea and air battles, and use diplomacy or covert operations to secure your way to world domination. Your decisions shape the stability of the nation and affect the global balance of power.

The game is stated to be optimized for XBOX Series X, however this is not the case. Players have reported numerous game crashes and bugs through the store, which Ultimate Games has acknowledged exist and is working on fixing them.

In addition to the aforementioned irregularities, we also noticed a bad interface in which extremely small font letters and small icons are striking, which make the gaming experience disastrous. We tried in every way to correct it, but unfortunately it is not possible. We even contacted Ultimate Games about it in the hope that they will correct the above in the coming period.

The interface looks like this. In the header is the flag of the country you control, then points, money, action points, metals, fuel, REEs, GDP, HDI, Maximum Manpower, number of missiles. On the left side, we have a menu consisting of sections: government (parliament, policies, diplomacy, projects, provinces you control), economy (budget, finance, resources, colonization, influence the environment), military (personnel, local wars, global wars), provinces (when marking a province, in which you can view the state of the province and take actions). Those would roughly be the basic things.

The game provides three gameplay scenarios:

  • On The Brink Of Tomorrow: standard gameplay that mostly represents the current state of the world
  • Pandemic Aftermath: a simulation in which you take over the management of a society after a global pandemic in which you struggle with economic and other challenges
  • Nothing Ever Changes: a post-apocalypse scenario where the world has been destroyed by war and where you focus on rebuilding and establishing a new world order

The game, in addition to everything else, also offers enormous flexibility, as it offers you the choice of managing/leading more than 200 countries in the world and more or less realistically represents their "strength" ratio. Every country has ratings, so let's say Croatia has 2.5 stars, which is completely realistic.

This game rewards learning and although it can be difficult at first, it certainly brings satisfaction after a certain period of time because there are few video games like this that bring all the segments of society management and simulation with respect to your decisions and policies.

Therefore, we are sorry that this game with huge potential has been reduced to a level where it cannot be played comfortably due to let's call them technical problems and glitches.

And because of that, the final verdict (like Croatia)

★★⯩ "Satisfactory"

A game that has certain disadvantages compared to similar games in the genre. Despite this, some players who are the target audience, that is, fans of the genre, may like it. We recommend everyone else to wait for the release of a patch or upgrade that could alleviate some of the problems.
