Founded a year ago and is already shutting down. This is the fate of the studio Dark Outlaw Games, which during all this time has not managed to release a single title. The news first appeared on the ResetEra forums, and was later confirmed by journalist Jason Schreier. The studio was founded by Jason Blundell, former lead developer of the Call of Duty series, in 2025 as a startup studio. Allegedly, they were in the early stages of developing their project, and what they were working on remains unknown. For Blundell, this is not the first time he has experienced this scenario with PlayStation. His previous studio, Deviation Games, founded in 2021 in partnership with Sony along with Treyarch colleague Dave Anthony, also shut down before he could release the game. All this comes just a month after PlayStation also shut down Bluepoint Games, one of its most famous and respected studios.
