Croatia will have its own national esports team competing at the 2026 Esports Nations Cup (ENC), a global competition that introduces a structured national team system in esports for the first time, with a total prize pool of $20 million.
The tournament begins with qualifiers that will be held throughout June, July and August while the main part of the tournament takes place from November 2 to 29, 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will bring together teams from more than 100 countries and territories, creating one of the most widely represented international platforms for esports competition.
The Esports Nations Cup is designed to allow players to represent their country on the global stage, while giving fans the opportunity to come together and support national teams in line with long-standing models of international sports competitions. The competition is based on clearly defined rules and principles that ensure transparency, consistency and competitive integrity.
As Nikola Stolnik, National Team Manager points out:
"Croatia is a country that has always exceeded expectations in sports, and in esports we have players who have been competing at the highest level for years without institutional support. The Esports Nations Cup changes that paradigm, and for the first time we get a structure as we know it from traditional sports, with a national team, a selector and a global competition of nations. This is an opportunity that we intend to make the most of, not only for the result at the tournament, but also for positioning Croatia as a serious esports nation on the international scene."
Croatian performances in several titles
Croatia will compete in 16 esports titles, including Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, Apex Legends, EA Sports FC 26, Dota 2, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, Trackmania, Chess, Fatal Fury, PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends and Street Fighter. In the coming months, the process of forming the national team and qualifications will follow, through which the players who will represent Croatia on the international stage will be selected.
A new step for Croatian esports
The introduction of national teams through the Esports Nations Cup represents an important step for the development of esports, creating a framework that connects players, organizations and fans on a global scale. This model brings a new dimension of competition in esports and opens up space for long-term development of national programs and strengthening of presence on the international scene.
The program of the Croatian national team will be implemented by Good Game Global, which acts as the official National Team Partner in charge of organizing teams, developing the structure of the national team and coordinating activities at the national level. In the coming months, team compositions, additional information about the competition and activities related to the preparations of the Croatian national team will be announced.
