Inky Blinky Bob is a game developed and published by Eldelic Games. The game has been available since last month on Steam and has received positive reviews from players so far. It is a horror first-person survival game, which consequently sets it apart from others in this genre.
Steam's description states that in the game you fly an armed hot air balloon over a chain of dangerous islands flooded with failed experiments. Gather resources, upgrade your flying machine, and dismantle the defenses of the occult biotech corporation before its greatest creation is unleashed.
The game starts with you in a plane that crashes, after which you arrive on an island where you are dragged and rescued from the water. At that point, we also meet Ralph.
He explains that we need to activate several Tesla towers to lower the shields of the giant dome. You can't miss them as they are red. Ralph also tells us that behind the dome is a large government circle that we need to destroy. Later, we are given a hot air balloon equipped with weapons. This is our only way to jump from island to island and do things. During the game, while traveling through the air, we are attacked by the monster Bob, whose full name we learn right at the beginning - Inky Blinky Bob!
The experience shifts between exploring on foot and aerial travel, where players navigate storm-hit shores, abandoned settlements, and underground laboratories while uncovering the truth behind Quantum Corp's activities. At the heart of the journey is the player's armed hot air balloon, which serves both as a means of transportation and as a weapon, allowing travel between islands and supporting mounted weapons during aerial battles. By exploring islands and collecting materials along the way, players repair and upgrade the balloon, strengthening it against increasingly dangerous threats. Survival heavily relies on scavenging and resource management, with players collecting debris, equipment, metal scraps, and fabric to maintain their gear while carefully managing limited medical packs and ammunition.
It is also important to highlight several statements from representatives of Eldelic Games. “At launch, we are incredibly proud to finally share this unusual world with players,” said Miroslav Ilić, CEO of Eldelic Games. “Inky Blinky Bob was born from a desire to create something creepy, explosive, and deliberately absurd. Balancing between fear and dark humor, the game invites players to embrace both chaos and comedy.”
We would just like to add that we agree with this and are glad that the mentioned game did not copy other games of the same genre (which is often the case) but made an effort to provide something new with its unusual horror game. The game lasts 8-10 hours and is definitely worth playing for its value for money, standing out from other video games in its genre. We intentionally did not go into detail about the content of the game itself, leaving you enough curiosity and intrigue to choose this title among the sea of options.
