According to American Deadline, the upcoming Street Fighter film has found its Chun-Li. Reportedly, it is 25-year-old Canadian actress Calliana Liang (Presence) who has allegedly landed the title role of the beloved fighter adored by all fans of the series.

Representatives of Legendary Pictures have not commented on this news and are still keeping the film's story a secret. Liang has also joined the previously announced cast which includes: Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, and Orville Peck.

Street Fighter is scheduled to premiere on March 20, 2026 and is being produced by Sony Pictures, Legendary Pictures, and Capcom. The film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip).

In live-action adaptations, Chun-Li has been portrayed by: Ming-Na Wen (1994) and Kristin Kreuk (2009) and even the legend of martial arts films Jackie Chan.
