The Full Circle team has confirmed that the upcoming Skate will be exclusively online, meaning there will be no offline mode. They also stated that the plan is still the same and that the game will be released in early access phase this year. Upon release, they want to make the world of San Vansterdam as lively as possible, and there will be crossplay between PC, PS5, and XS platforms.
"The game and the city are designed to be a living, breathing multiplayer sandbox for skateboarding, which is always online and constantly evolving. You will see big things, like changes in the city over time, but also smaller things like events and activities. To deliver this, the game requires a constant internet connection. This is probably not a surprise if you have been part of our testing." They said from Full Circle.
On the official blog, information about the conducted testing phases has been published, and the team also responded to some fan questions, announcing that they will send out more invites to interested players in June.
