PUBG: Battlegrounds is soon launching a collaboration with the famous series Payday, and the crossover brings a new PVE Heist mode and a streamer challenge with a prize pool of as much as 100 thousand dollars. New content will arrive on PC on May 13, while console players will receive the update on May 21.
Unlike the classic battle royale experience, the new mode focuses on team heists and co-op gameplay. Players will work together to organize large thefts, gather loot, and try to escape under the pressure of police units.
According to the shown trailer, the action will take place in several different locations, including banks, the diamond district, and highways. During missions, players will need to coordinate every step, defend the loot, and fight through waves of special police forces to reach the extraction point.
The trailer also showcases intense shootouts on city streets and inside buildings, while the police gradually escalate their response and send in additional reinforcements, which should give this mode a significantly more dynamic and action-focused experience than the standard PUBG experience.
