During a special panel at San Diego Comic-Con, a new Friday the 13th game was announced. This was confirmed by Robert Barsamian, the executive vice president of Horror Inc., which currently holds the license for the famous film series under a subsidiary called Jason Universe.
He also reminded that this series has not received a new installment for a long 16 years. "I can tell you that a new movie and video game are high on our list. That's where most of our energy is going, and I can say that we are ready to deliver both. Although we are not announcing anything today with our partners, both are coming and are in development."
Barsamian did not comment on whether the new game is a sequel to the multiplayer title from 2017, on which he worked as an executive producer.
