Electronic Arts has revealed details about the Battle Royale mode that will be featured in Battlefield 6. As they say, it will be a battle between one hundred players and will include a destructible environment and vehicles, members of Battlefield Labs this week will have the opportunity to test this mode.
The team working on the game stated that this is one of the deadliest circles in any Battle Royale game. "As the warnings approach, players will be pushed into intense battles as the circle shrinks. You won't be able to hide or escape from it, because once it catches you, you're done."
During the match, we will not have the option to change classes, and as we earn points for upgrades, we will unlock new skills that will enhance our characters, for example, the assault class will be able to change protective gear faster.
On the map, we will complete missions and fight for equipment that will consist of five tiers of weapons and attachments as well as useful gadgets and bombs. Successfully completing missions will reward us with a box containing weapons, a vehicle, or a respawn device.
"This is Battlefield's version of the classic formula, so you can expect all the core principles of the series in this mode: gadgets, explosions, destructible environments, and vehicles, all to secure victory," said the team.
So the key elements of Battlefield 6 Battle Royale will be:
- Map - Battlefield's large maps are not unfamiliar, and this one is designed exclusively for BR experience and contains various points of interest that feature their own themes and gameplay opportunities.
- Vehicles - players will be able to find normal vehicles for transport, but also unlock stronger ones to turn the tide of battle. The goal is to provide players with more types of mobility.
- Tactical destruction - destruction will be everywhere in this mode. From creating paths through walls to demolishing buildings, we look forward to seeing how players will use this option to easily defeat their opponents.
- Squadplay - during the test, each match will feature one hundred players divided into 25 teams of four players who will compete for the title of the best. Use everything from pings, text, and voice to enhance your tactics.
- Second chance - between reviving with the support class and Mobile Redeploy, there will be various tools to keep your team alive.
