Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a new action-adventure game in development under Skydance New Media, a studio led by former Uncharted creative director, Amy Hennig. The game is set in Paris occupied during World War II, and brings an unexpected collaboration: Captain America (Steve Rogers) and the then Black Panther (Azzuri) join forces against the rising threat of the Hydra organization.
Players will have the opportunity to play as multiple characters: in addition to Captain and Panther, playable characters include Gabriel Jones, a soldier from the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, the leader of the Wakandan resistance. Gameplay will combine melee combat, dynamic action sequences, and narrative-driven missions, while the game itself will utilize the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5
to showcase realistic cities, dark catacombs, and intense battles.
Although the exact release date has not yet been revealed, it has been confirmed that the game will arrive during 2026, and fans of the Marvel universe have good reason to be excited about this historical and stylized look at the superhero world.
