Jagex is working on a new survival game within the RuneScape universe and is currently seeking help for the upcoming closed alpha testing.

According to the latest message from the studio: "We are developing a new survival game using Unreal Engine 5, set in the RuneScape universe. We know that Jagex performs best when we collaborate with players, so we are looking for playtesters for our closed alpha test." Interested players can sign up and help shape the game.

Although the game was announced back in June 2022, the studio has not revealed many details since then. What we know is that it is a "rich, immersive world" with large and complex areas. With alpha testing on the horizon, we will likely learn more soon.

To participate, you need to fill out a survey that will ask questions about your age, language, location, as well as your knowledge of RuneScape and experience with survival games. You will also need to provide details about your Steam and Discord accounts and your PC specifications. If you are willing to play as a tester, provide feedback, and sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), you may be among the chosen ones.

RuneScape has been around since 2001, and the Old School version from 2013 maintains a large community of dedicated fans. Given that player base, a survival game from RuneScape could become a big hit. For now, the focus is on alpha testing – after signing up, players will receive notifications via email. - writes PCgamer.com
