Ocean Drive Studio and Kakao Games have opened applications for the pre-alpha playtest of the upcoming zombie survival game God Save Birmingham. Set in medieval Birmingham, the game brings a combination of historically inspired environments and relentless survival combat against hordes of the undead.
At this year's Gamescom, the game was playable and attracted significant interest from visitors. The demo version we had the chance to try featured physically realistic combat, a resource gathering system, and an atmosphere reminiscent of the darkest moments of medieval history. The detailed appearance of medieval Birmingham city and the challenging yet rewarding survival system particularly stood out.
The pre-alpha test will provide the community with an opportunity to participate in the early shaping of the game, and applications are conducted via a Google form. The exact start date of the testing is not yet known, but all interested parties can follow the official Steam page and Discord channel for the latest information.
