The organizers of Gamescom have announced that this year they have recorded a record interest from exhibitors who want to present themselves. According to them, the number is increasing by 11 percent year over year, and along with the already announced companies, some new ones have been added to the list, including:

  • CI Games
  • Electronic Arts
  • GIANTS Software
  • Headup
  • Kalypso
  • Konami
  • LEGO
  • Level Infinite
  • Marvelous Europe
  • Netflix
  • Paramount
  • SEGA
  • Tencent Games

The listed companies will join those that were previously announced, including: 2K, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Blizzard Entertainment, Capcom, CD Projekt Red, Krafton, Level Infinite, Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Ubisoft, and Xbox.

As every year, there will also be the traditional presentation of Gamescom Opening Night Live hosted by Geoff Keighley, which will take place on August 19, and the first announced game we know will appear is Activision's Call of Duty Black Ops 7.

To accommodate as many visitors as possible, the organizers have decided to expand the entertainment zone to hall 8, and for the first time ever, the indie zone will be in hall 10.2, while the event zone will be in hall 1 where the aforementioned Opening Night Live, a concert of music from The Witcher, and metal legends Sabaton and Wargaming will take place.

"The numbers speak for themselves Gamescom 2025 will be bigger, more fun, and once again the heart of the global gaming community. With the industry and partners, we are ready to enchant fans and set new standards," said event director Tim Endres.

Felix Falk from The German Games Industry Association added: "Preparations for Gamescom are in full swing and while there are still many weeks left, one thing is certain - at the end of August, the gaming world will once again gather in Germany for the most spectacular and diverse Gamescom ever."
