Wargaming, the publisher of the leading multi-platform naval multiplayer game World of Warships: Legends is coming in hot with a mountain of content for May and June. The seas are about to get even more dangerous as Legends takes its first steps on Steam with Closed Beta testing starting this month. Legendary-level German battleship Preußen also arrives in a new campaign, a new retro-futuristic action set for big things, and action related to the Battle of Jutland and the famous hunt for the Bismarck round out the update.
World of Warships: Legends brings fast-paced action to Steam
The popular console and mobile version of the franchise, World of Warships: Legends, is preparing to land on Steam. As of 2019, the game has attracted millions of players across multiple platforms, and its energetic high seas battles are now jumping to PC via Steam, with more than 500 warships and more than 100 captains available at launch.
World of Warships: Legends on PC continues the action-packed combat with easy-to-learn gameplay with intuitive controls. Closed Beta testing is scheduled for May 23-26, 2025, and players can sign up via official site on Steam. During this period, players will be able to test the types of battles against AI, arcade and standard battles, and ship technology trees, captains, divisions, campaigns and tasks will be available. Other essential features like additional battle types, office projects, fleets, cross-play and more will be introduced later in the full version.
Players are encouraged to provide feedback regarding controls, performance improvements, and any potential issues that may arise during the Closed Beta period to ensure Steam players have a smooth and polished experience when World of Warships: Legends launches in full. Plans are also underway to support the game on Steam Deck, allowing aspiring captains to battle on the go.
The German battleship Preußen and new actions are coming to World of Warships: Legends
For World of Warships: Legends players on mobile platforms and consoles, the May update brings the arrival of the legendary tier German battleship Preußen, which will be available in a new six-week campaign. Continuing the theme of German engineering, the legendary tier German cruiser Hindenburg continues its marathon which allows players to continue unlocking this ship.
There are also many events in May, while the Hunt for Bismarck campaign offers the disguise of Captain Unsinkable Sam as the main prize. The action will rage and the Battle of Jutland will introduce new ships such as the Tier IV Battleship Moltke, the Tier IV British Battleship Indefatigable and the Tier VI German Cruiser Leipzig. Finally, the May update brings to an end a brand new Brawl and Fleet Cup season available for players to test their mettle and much more.
