Publisher PQube and development studio Crazy Goat Games have announced that their pirate strategy and construction game Republic of Pirates will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2025. The physical edition will be available for PlayStation 5. The game originally launched for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 19, 2024.
Set in the golden age of piracy in the Caribbean, the game combines settlement building, resource management and real-time naval battles. Players will take on the role of heir to a pirate republic, develop an economy using over 100 different buildings, recruit captains and build a fleet of eight different ship classes. Diplomacy plays a key role, allowing players to form relationships with other pirate clans and trading companies.
Republic of Pirates offers over 30 hours of content in a narrative campaign, as well as a free game mode with customizable settings and challenges.
