After months in Early Access, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel has finally arrived in version 1.0. The game still retains its core, adrenaline-pumping horde-survivor action set in the dark world of Norse mythology, but it now looks, sounds and plays noticeably better.

The biggest novelty is the Endless Mode, which brings a continuous fight with waves of enemies, perfect for those who want to test their builds to the limit, because in Endless mode, in addition to objectives, there are also Torments that come during a certain playing time and act as curses on the player and weaken him little by little despite the increasing waves of incoming enemies.

In addition to Endless Mode, the novelties are the new Kinslayer class that players can try in addition to the already well-known Berserker, Revenant, Seeress and Flame Sister. Banished from Freya for killing a Valkyrie, the Kinslayer now lurks on the edge of life and death. He has 5 weapons that are unlocked with the Soulstone currency as well as the weapons of others
class, and 1 additional skin that is unlocked by completing the Helheim world on hard difficulty. This class uses a spear which is a melee weapon, but its powers allow it to use the help of valkyries which fit well with the risky Kinslayer playstyle.

Along with the new class and endless mode, we also got a new map that shows a big improvement compared to the maps we currently have in the game. It is Helheim, buried deep underground, a damp, cold and gloomy world of mist. It is extremely dangerous, inhospitable and almost uninhabitable. A new boss was also introduced, we don't want to spoil too much, but we can say that he borrowed some things from the existing bosses.

In order to make our way through Helheim easier with the Kinslayer, we also got help from Nidhogg, a snake-shaped dragon and corpse eater from Helheim. His powers are based on dragon attacks and the help of missing souls, and along with Kinslayer, he goes well in combination with old classes.

When we put all this together we can see that the 1.0 version brought a lot of good things and new possibilities to play, but also there is a small gap because fans were expecting maybe at least one more additional map.
