WarnerBros. Games and TT Games officially unveiled LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight during Opening Night Live — an ambitious open‑world action adventure that celebrates the decades-long legacy of Batman, blending the signature LEGO aesthetic with a deeper story and new combat mechanics.

The game takes players through Bruce's upbringing — from his training in the League of Shadows to his legendary role as the protector of Gotham. Along with Batman, allies such as Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul will be available, while going up against icons such as the Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul and Bane.

Compared to the previous LEGO Batman video games, the combat system has been improved with fluid combinations, counter moves and spectacular finishing blows, along with gadgets such as the Batarang, Batclaw and Robin's line‑launcher or Catwoman's whip.

The game supports two challenging difficulty modes — Caped Crusader and Dark Knight, and Gotham City offers a sandbox experience full of criminal activities, puzzles, rewards, vehicles (Batmobiles, Batcycle) and a Batcave hub where players can display trophies, vehicles and uniforms.

It has been revealed that the release is scheduled for 2026 for PlayStation5, Xbox SeriesX/S, PC and Nintendo Switch2.
