A day lasts only too short 24 hours. Playing and writing about video games is a hobby for us, not a regular job. The daily volume of incoming news from the video game industry is too great to handle on our little gaming portal. To make it easier for you to follow the news, we present an overview of all Croatian gaming portals in one place.
According to the latest research, a total of eleven gaming portals are active in the Republic of Croatia in addition to Virus. In order, by year of launch, these are: HCL.hr (2005), 227 Gaming (2011), GoodGame.hr (2011), Reboot (2012), Tehix.hr (2014), GamePerspective (2014), FFA.hr (2015), GameHub (2020), PC Play (2021), Indie Games (2023) and Pikselzona. The HCL.hr gaming portal is the largest, most important and most relevant gaming portal in the region. Their authors bring fresh content from the video game industry, technology and the world of entertainment every day. They inform through original reviews, express opinions in columns, and educate younger generations of gamers about the history of video games. In addition to the website, it has been active since 2010 YouTube channel which today has over 600,000 subscribers.

The idea of establishing a portal arose at the end of the summer of 2011, and became concrete thanks to the motivation of certain former members and founders of various similar gamer web projects in the last few years (from new gameplay to crogamer, poop, xboxcroatia, pspcroatia, consoles, lnl...). Since December 5, 2011, GoodGame.hr brings a larger and more frequent amount of information related to all platforms in the gaming industry and all products that fall into that domain.

Nasljednik magazinea PSX i GamePlay danas egzistira in the form gaming portal na kojem se objavljuju najaktualnije vijesti iz svijeta video games i tjedni video podcast - Rebootcast. INjedno, Reboot je više od portal - organiziparadiseu događaje koji privlače brojne posjetitelis and ljude iz industrije video games (Reboot InfoGamer, Reboot Develop Blue, Reboot Develop Red). Tehix is a multimedia web portal with a tradition that lasts for 10 years. It covers news, reviews, gaming, technology, movies, esports and series. The editorial staff and associates are young people who do their job superbly. One of the higher quality portals that is not well known to the wider gaming public in Croatia

FFA.hr is the second largest domestic portal that covers the latest news, announcements and reviews of current video games. Also, along with HCL.hr and Reboot, they are the only ones with an active forum where players can connect, discuss games and share their experiences

The only television channel in Croatia dedicated to gaming and geek culture, available to more than 720,000 households, has its own website where they publish daily news from the video game industry, with a special focus on e-sports. The GameHub program can be watched on the following cable operators: MaxTV 666, OptiTV 411, IskonTV 611, A1 221 and Terrakom TV 316. In addition to its own shows, the channel offers different and interesting video content from its partners at any time of the day, such as Reboot, Good Game, ZTS, Gallasandall, Lavvek, A1 Adria league, Tehix, Mrtvi piksel, PC Crazy Dario, and many others.

The second youngest portal on our list is also the most specialized domestic portal. IndieGames.eu promotes indie games of various genres and creative approaches from Croatia, European Union countries and the world. It stands out with original reviews, columns with personal views, and educational articles in Croatian and English.

10. Pixelzone
The youngest portal on our list was launched in early 2025. PikselZona.com is a young gaming portal founded by young gaming and esports enthusiasts with the aim of creating a large gaming community in our region.
