the single-player title without additional online mechanics captured the players' attention

The action-adventure game with RPG elements, Crimson Desert, continues to record impressive results, despite a somewhat problematic launch. According to the latest data, the game has managed to retain almost 50% of its initial player base, which is exceptionally rare for a single-player title.

On the Steam platform, the game reached around 270 thousand players at launch, while today it consistently maintains around 100 thousand active players. This result is particularly interesting because the game lacks live-service elements or a multiplayer component, which usually significantly complicates long-term audience retention.

Despite initial criticisms due to bugs and technical issues, the studio Pearl Abyss quickly responded with a series of updates. The latest update, which introduced additional difficulty options, has once again increased the number of active players and improved the overall impression of the game.

The situation with reviews has also significantly improved. The game currently has very positive user ratings, although it was met with “mixed” reactions at launch due to technical shortcomings.

Additionally, Crimson Desert has already surpassed 5 million copies sold, placing it among the biggest successes of this year.
