Sega announced a new partnership with Nickelodeon at the Kids' Choice Awards. After various leaks, they officially revealed that SpongeBob and his loyal friend Patrick will be part of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, and the two will arrive as DLC characters with a map based on Bikini Bottom.
As for the future, the partnership will continue, and we will see characters from popular animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. All characters from the Nickelodeon franchise will be available in the Digital Deluxe edition or through a season pass that will include characters from Minecraft, Netflix's Sonic Prime series, and two yet-to-be-announced collaborations.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds releases on September 25 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, with the Switch 2 version expected to come later.
