PlayStation has introduced a new mobile application, PlayStation Family App, which allows parents to better monitor and control their children's gaming habits. The app features include an Activity Dashboard, which shows how many hours per week the child spends on the console, and Playing Now, which provides insight into the game the child is currently playing.
Parents can also set time limits, control communication, and determine which games are allowed. Sony emphasizes that the PlayStation Family App is not just for restrictions, but encourages dialogue between parents and children and builds trust. The app is available for iOS and Android.
