Saber Interactive and Mad Head Games have announced a new horror title Hellraiser: Revival based on the popular horror series by Clive Barker. As they say, it is a horror game with a focus on story that delves deep into the franchise's world, where players will take on the role of Aidan who must use the power of the mysterious boxes called Genesis Configuration to help his girlfriend Sunny.
The game's producer Nenad Tomić in a interview with Xbox stated that Barker has been involved with the project from the beginning and has proven to be the perfect guide for understanding the world of Hellraiser and shaping this project. The author has closely collaborated with them on story motives and visual style. Barker is not the only one returning, as actor Doug Bradley has also announced his return to reprise the role of Pinhead.
As inspiration for Hellraiser: Revival, the first two films were used, but the game does not share a story with them and is entirely original, set in the same universe.
Hellraiser: Revival will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and Tomić did not reveal the release date, but mentioned that it is very close.
