Konami has announced that the multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released this autumn. It is described as "completely original" and is not related to Metal Gear Online, which was released on PlayStation 2 as part of the Subsistence version.
Fox Hunt is developed by Yu Sahara, a veteran of the series who worked on Metal Gear Solid 4, Ground Zeroes, and The Phantom Pain. "We respect all the fans who have been waiting for the return of Metal Gear Online, but multiplayer games have changed," said Sahara at the original announcement.
Fox Hunt uses the foundational rules from MGO and the traditional stealth gameplay found in MGS, as well as the latest graphical enhancements that elevate the stealth game to a new level.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to release on August 28 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
