Atari has announced that it will bring back the famous console Intellivision which sparked the first war in the video game industry. The mentioned console was made by Mattel in 1979 and was the main rival to Atari's VCS (later known as Atari 2600).
Intellivision Sprint will be released on December 5 in the USA and Australia, while it will arrive in Europe on December 23, and the price will be 150 dollars. Designed to look like the original, Sprint will support HDMI as well as a USB port for expanding the game catalog. It will also come with 45 games including: Baseball, Soccer, Super Pro Golf, Sea Battle, Space Battle, Astrosmash, Star Strike, and Boulder Dash.
"We are excited to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Intellivision and there is no better way to celebrate than by bringing back this console for players to experience it again. It is a great responsibility, but also fun to be in charge of such a big brand," said Matt Burnett from Atari.
