Indie studio Cosmic Stag Games presents Cat Me If You Can, a charming and relaxing puzzle adventure coming to PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S in the summer of 2026. The game stands out for its unusual visual style and original photography mechanics, and at first glance it is clear that it is aimed at lovers of the cozy and hidden object genre.
The story takes us to a handmade black and white world where a mysterious event literally "froze" the Earth and left behind - only cats. It is by photographing the hidden cats that players gradually return colors to the environment, which reveals the full visual identity of the world and progresses through the game.
Gameplay is based on exploring detailed 3D locations inspired by comics and manga, where cats are often skillfully hidden behind puzzles, secret passages and visual tricks. In addition to the search itself, the game includes solving puzzles, deciphering clues and discovering hidden areas, which further deepens the experience and gives it an adventurous character.
Special emphasis is placed on a relaxed atmosphere and a "feel-good" approach to playing. Cat Me If You Can is designed as a stress-free game, ideal for short sessions and relaxation, while rewarding careful observation and exploration. Different locations and time periods further enrich the experience, while the most persistent players will try to find the most hidden cats - including the king of cats, King Purr-a-lot.
The demo version of the game will arrive on Steam already in April, while the full release is planned for Q3 2026.
At first, Cat Me If You Can seems like a potential indie hit for everyone who likes casual games, exploration and - of course - cats, and the combination of photography, puzzles and a distinctive visual style could set it apart from the increasingly popular "hidden object" genre.
