The Polish studio 11 bit studios, known for the games This War of Mine and Frostpunk, brings us a new survival adventure – The Alters. The game will be released on June 13, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
In The Alters, you take on the role of Jan Dolski, a miner who fights for survival after an accident on a hostile planet. To survive, Jan uses a substance called Rapidium to create "Alters" – alternative versions of himself, each possessing unique skills and personalities.
The game combines elements of survival, base building, and crew management. Jan must manage a mobile base to avoid deadly solar radiation while exploring the planet and gathering resources. Each Alter has its own needs and emotions, and neglecting them can lead to unpredictable consequences.
The Alters poses the question: "What if you were...?" With an intriguing story and innovative mechanics, the game promises a unique experience that combines science fiction, psychological drama, and strategy.
