According to reports, Famitsu Nintendo Switch 2 is selling three times faster than its predecessor. In just one month since its release, it sold 1.5 million units, breaking the record previously held by PlayStation 2. Famitsu obtained this data by reviewing 3000 Japanese manufacturers, and these are the highest figures for any console since the magazine began publishing in 1996.
GameBoy Advance held Nintendo's record (1,367,433 units), followed by Nintendo DS (1,269,846 units). In the first four days of global sales of Nintendo Switch 2, it achieved a figure of 3.5 million, thus becoming the company's fastest-selling console and the biggest launch ever.
If this situation continues, Switch 2 could sell 15 million units in its first year and surpass its predecessor.
