Kojima Productions and animation studio from LA Line Mileage have announced an animated Death Stranding film. It does not yet have a release date and the story will not be related to the game, reports Deadline. Aaron Guzikowski, who was the screenwriter for the series Raised by Wolves and the film Prisoners by Denis Villeneuve, will participate in the project.
The goal of Stranding will be to achieve what 20th Century Fox recently did with the animated film Predator: Killer of Killers that was recently released on Hulu.
"I love the world of Death Stranding, which is creative, beautifully dark, but also full of hope. I am excited and honored that Hideo Kojima, whose work I have admired for a long time, invited me to participate and create new stories that will push the boundaries of this series." said Guzikowski.
We also remind you that a live-action Death Stranding film is currently in the works, produced by the film company A24, directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One).
