The launch trailer for Forza Horizon 6 has arrived!

Home / News / The launch trailer for Forza Horizon 6 has arrived!

There are ten days left until the release, are you excited?

Fans have been calling for Japan as the next Horizon destination for years, and based on everything shown, Playground Games has decided to make the most of that environment. The trailer showcases neon-lit urban districts, narrow mountain roads perfect for drifting, rural areas, and wide highways that perfectly fit the high-speed racing and Japanese car culture atmosphere for which Japan is legendary among racing fans.

Along with the new map, the trailer reveals a large number of vehicles and a variety of events that once again function as the classic Horizon combination of festivals, exploration, and adrenaline-fueled open-world racing.

But perhaps the most important change is not the location itself, but the progression system.

Forza Horizon 5 was fun, but many players criticized it for the way cars and rewards were handed out in abundance. After a few hours of gameplay, the garage would already be full of cars, which often diminished the feeling of progression. Forza Horizon 6, at least according to the information so far, aims to bring back a more structured sense of development through the Horizon festival, where players will gradually build their reputation and slowly gain access to stronger and more expensive cars.

That may sound like a small change, but such things often determine how interesting a racing game will remain in the long run.

The good news is also for PlayStation 5 players. Unlike Forza Horizon 5, which arrived on Sony's platform only after several years and a huge amount of content that could feel a bit overwhelming for new players, Forza Horizon 6 is coming much closer to the original release on Xbox and PC. This means that all players will practically be able to follow the game's development, new events, and future updates at the same time.

Of course, we will only make a final judgment once we sit behind the virtual wheel, but for now, everything points to Playground Games knowing very well what fans want from the new Horizon.

And honestly, Forza Horizon in Japan feels like an idea that should have existed a decade ago.
