The publisher Secret Mode and the development studio Odd Dreams Digital have officially launched Everything is Crab, an unusual evolutionary roguelite that is available today on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The game is currently available for the price of €9.99, while the Steam version has a 10% launch discount for its release.
Everything is Crab throws players into a living ecosystem where they take on the role of Darwin, an amorphous blue mass that tries to survive in a world where almost everything is ready to eat you through evolution. During gameplay, it is possible to hunt, flee, gather food, and develop your own creature through a vast number of mutations and evolutionary combinations.
The developers particularly highlight more than 125 different evolutions and specializations that allow for the creation of completely different beings during each run. Players can develop additional arms, legs, wings, eyes, fur, and numerous other mutations to adapt to the environment and their own play style.
One of the more interesting aspects is that the game does not force a solely violent approach. It is possible to play as an aggressive predator, but also as a peaceful vegan trying to survive without conflict. There is also a stealth approach where players can gather food scraps while other beings fight among themselves.

The developers state that the rest of the world will continuously evolve during gameplay, which means players will have to constantly change their survival strategies.
Alongside the standard version of the game, there is also a Supporter Pack DLC available that includes four cosmetic items inspired by ghost crab aesthetics.
